Restaurant in Cambridge: The Belle – Bassingbourn

The ‘Belle Freehouse’ is situated in the picturesque village of Bassingbourn, just eight miles from the historical City of Cambridge, 3 miles from Royston and situated within easy reach of the A10 corridor, the A1M & M11 motorways into London.

Named in tribute to the iconic B-17 ‘Memphis Belle’, which was stationed in Bassingbourn during World War 2 and which was later subject of the Hollywood blockbuster movie of the same name.

‘The Belle’ is an eclectic mix of both contemporary and traditional features, that blend perfectly. At the heart of the pub is the log burning stove that is both warming and welcoming. The purpose built bar has been hand crafted and is the focal part of the pub, offering real ales, lagers, fine wines, an extensive range of gins, an array of malt whiskeys and a large variety of spirits & liqueurs.

Our Head Chef and his staff are on hand to cook the most sumptuous of menus using both local sourced and artisan produce. So whether its a light lunch, snack or dinner from the evening menu you can rest assured that your meal has been prepared and cooked freshly that day.  A roast dinner is available on a Sunday with a choice of roast meats.
