The Michelin Star restaurant at Ynyshir is one of Wales’ best contemporary fine dining destinations and holds Five AA rosettes – the only restaurant in Wales to hold this distinction. Michelin Star chef Gareth Ward serves alternative British tasting menus using the very best of Welsh and British produce.

Our tasting menus reflect seasonal availability of beautiful Welsh and British ingredients including tender Dyfi Valley Welsh lamb, foraged sea herbs at Ynyslas beach and wild garlic in the Cambrian Mountains. The kitchen garden provides a bounty of herbs and vegetables throughout the year. During the hunting season, expect to see wild deer, local duck, grouse and partridge. Each tasting menu offers a multitude of simple and light courses whilst bursting with flavours from both land and sea. The extensive wine list features items from all over the world and suits varied budgets. The dining room can seat up to 20 people – small numbers mean a friendlier yet professional service. The extensive gardens and the Cambrian Mountains provide the perfect backdrop to an exquisite dining experience at Ynyshir.
