Bombay Palace, Torrevieja, Spain

We really felt we should share our experience on this great page from our long stay in Cuidad Quesada, Costa Blanca, Spain this winter, we really fancied a ruby, so after spotting this little gem of a place near El Limonar we decided to try it
The Bombay Palace was a tad quiet at lunch time but we were greeted by a very friendly staff and along with a huge menu selection, we were offered the menu del dia (menu of the day)

For a mere €8.95 we could choose from a 3 starters, 4 main and 3 sweets. Included was, a papadum with sauces, a beer or wine, a starter a main course with naan and a sweet plus an aperitif at the end.
But what would you expect for around £6.50 in any curry house, well quite a good deal actually and quite honestly one of the best Indian meals I’ve ever tasted. The food was superb and very traditional almost like Indian home cooking if there is such a thing?
For starters Denise had a chicken majestic and I had onion bhaji with salad trimmings, really lovely and was a good portion too.
Main meal, Denise had a chicken Balti while I opted for the good old chicken madras served with Plain rice. The way it was served was delightful and new to us.

We had a rose’ wine and lager respectively, and finally ice cream and a baileys to finish.
The food was absolutely exquisite, the service second to none and restaurant itself, really nicely laid out. Gotta say that we could not fault it.
We will be definitely returning before we head for home in April.
Wonderful experience, you must try.
